Tableframes

Alternating between sitting and standing work is increasingly recommended, by specialists and employers alike. Sedentary work is now being compared to smoking, that's how bad it can be for your health. To prevent sedentary work from having such a negative impact on your body, a sit-stand desk is increasingly being chosen.

Sit-stand desk pedestals - buy

Alternating between sitting and standing work is increasingly recommended, by both specialists and employers. Sitting work is now compared to smoking, that's how bad it can be for your health. To prevent sedentary work from having such a negative impact on your body, a sit-stand desk is increasingly chosen.

A sit-stand desk base can offer a solution when the current desks can use an upgrade. As a result, the current desktop can be kept and only the base needs to be replaced. In no time your 'old' desk will be transformed into a desk that can last for years.

Different types of electric pedestals for your desk

We offer many different types of electric bases for your current desk. Over the years, we have built up a great selection from several major brands. As a result, you will always find the perfect desk base!

In addition, the sit-stand desk pedestals are available in different sizes and various shapes. Choose a square, rectangular or even a triangular format!

Advantages of a sit-stand desk

The advantage of such a desk is, as the word says, alternating between sitting and standing work. In addition, the desk can always be adjusted to the correct height per person. This can simply be a godsend to adjust the desk to your personal preferences.

  • Adjustable desk for ideal sitting posture
  • A solution for flexible workplaces
  • Table can be adjusted exactly to personal preferences
  • Prevents back problems
  • Working standing increases productivity
  • Higher productivity
  • Better circulation

Tips for purchasing a sit-stand desk

1. Height adjustment range:

The European standard for desks prescribes that the height of the work surface of sit-stand desks should be adjustable at least in the range of 65 to 125 cm, because then people with a height of less than 1.60 m or more than 1.80 m can set the optimal working height for them.

2. Stability:

Sit-stand tables should remain stationary very quickly after being bumped into. In order to compensate for unevenness in the floor, so-called height compensation elements (e.g. leveling feet) should be present.

3. Adjustment function:

The height adjustment should be easy and reliable to use, even under heavy loads, and should also be quiet. A memory function that remembers the correct working height for sitting and standing is ideal.

4. Noise level:

The height adjustment of sit-stand tables - especially the electrically motorized ones - does not operate completely quietly. But at least it should be quiet enough that colleagues are not distracted from their work.

5. System protection:

This detects when the table top touches an object and stops movement before damage can occur.

6. Cable routing:

Cables for power and data must not hang loose from the table. Cable routing must protect against threading and fraying. Plug-in connections embedded in the desk surface are ideal for plug and play.

7. Work space:

This should be large enough to accommodate all documents and possibly watch the screen with a colleague.

8. Expandability:

Each desk should be expandable with additional functional elements, for example, a privacy screen that separates the work surface from adjacent desks and screen holders or other aids. It should also be possible to install these at a later date.

9. Durability:

With electric motor drives, attention should be paid to an energy-saving standby mode. Good models have a consumption of around 0.1 watts. How durable a product is also depends on the long-term load capacity of the adjustment elements.

10. User information:

Each desk has a manual that explains not only the adjustment functions but also how to determine the optimal working height.
Where it is not possible to purchase a sit-stand table for the time being, table attachments are recommended, which - simply placed on the tabletop - quickly create an additional working surface at standing height.
